What are the expectations regarding the announced International Commission Against Impunity in Honduras CICIH supported by the United Nations UN and inspired by the CICIG implemented a few years ago in Guatemala The Honduran justice system is extremely discredited both due to the corruption of the judicial system and the ineffectiveness in the delivery of equitable justice regardless of class considerations and the socioeconomic position of the accused which is why the return of an international commission dedicated to fight against corruption and impunity is very welcome by citizens who remember the previous one which in the short time that it remained in Honduras carried out indepth investigations that involved senior public officials. The collective frustration lies in the delay with which the new commission arrives this time no longer under the auspices of the Organization of American States OAS but of the UN.
